How the calculation works

• Material = grams ÷ 1,000 × price per kilogram.
• Estimated electricity = print hours × average watts ÷ 1,000 × tariff. Measured kWh replace this energy estimate.
• Labour = hands-on minutes ÷ 60 × hourly rate. Machine allowance = print hours × allowance per hour.
• Price before selling fees and tax = total entered costs × (1 + markup ÷ 100).

Worked example

Using CHF throughout: 100 g at 20/kg costs 2.00. Two hours at an assumed average 150 W and 0.30/kWh adds 0.09. Thirty minutes of work at 20/hour adds 10.00; a machine allowance of 0.50/hour adds 1.00, and extras add 1.00. Total: CHF 14.09. With 100% markup: CHF 28.18 before selling fees and tax. What this quick calculator leaves out

There is no automatic allowance for failures, overhead, selling fees, tax or shipping. Include consumed supports and purge in grams, and any relevant extra costs once. It prices one material at a time; use the project app for multiple materials, several print runs, fees and a saved report. Markup is not profit margin: 100% markup means twice the cost, giving a 50% margin before fees.
